Gilded Strings
Magnificent music for strings and harpsichord from French courts and salons features a stellar ensemble of two violins, viol, theorbo, and harpsichord. This program highlights Jean-Marie Leclair’s Deuxième Récréation de la Musique, works by Élisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre and Marin Marais, and a sonata by Isabella Leonarda, alongside the world premiere of a brilliant new work for solo harpsichord by Eve Beglarian.
